Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract Description
(matricaria) flower extract (commonly referred to as chamomile) is popular in skin care for its soothing properties. The main constituents of the flowers include phenolic compounds, primarily the flavonoids apigenin, quercetin, patuletin, luteolin, and their glucosides, all of which function as antioxidants.
Adverse responses to chamomile have been reported among those who are allergic to other plants in the daisy family, in which case topical use may prove problematic.
